The popularity of glass, plastic and metal in the
manufacture of modern kitchen furniture is undeniable. These materials add
lightness and transparency to the kitchen as a whole. Today, glass and plastic
are not only the background material, but also the main element of the
interior. The texture and color of these materials are different, so they can
be matte, transparent, smooth or rough. All this makes it possible to maximize
the scope of their application in the kitchen.
If initially only the upper part of the kitchen furniture
was made transparent, then today its lower part may be the same, as a result,
the shelves of the working blocks can be seen through. Today, even facades
appear, made entirely of transparent elements, in particular glass, framed by
steel or aluminum. Naturally, such transparent facades require a perfect order
from the owners inside the cabinets, so manufacturers go for the trick,
replacing the transparent glass with frosted glass. As a result, external transparency
and lightness of the interior are preserved, the general outline of objects
inside the cabinets is visible, but small details are hidden behind the foggy
haze of frosted glass. Particularly spectacular for such facades is the
internal illumination.
The ultramodern kitchens are characterized by the widespread
use of glass, so even the countertop, trash can, and hood become glass.
The use of different glasses leads to different results. For
example, stained glass or Modern kitchen glass with a white pattern applied to
them emphasize the respectability of your kitchen. Engraved or hand-painted
glass inserts in your kitchen will give it an idle, bright mood.
Despite the fact that the use of synthetic materials is the
prerogative of modern furniture, composing, for example, glass or plastic with
natural wood, you get a wonderful combination of classic and modern.
Today, plastic reliably enters our lives. This also applies
to our kitchen. All designers appreciate and prefer plastic for its ease of
use, a variety of shapes and colors. The most popular plastic materials used to
make kitchen furniture today are polyester with fiberglass, polystyrene,
polyurethane, polypropylene and methacrylate.
The metal elements of any furniture make it super modern and
visually very light. Such elements give visual (and not only) the reliability
of kitchen furniture, make it more rigorous and concise. The standard materials
for the metal elements of the kitchen are steel or aluminum. Very often today,
ordinary tops are replaced by steel ones, as a result of which the kitchen
becomes visually even easier, more spacious. In addition, steel or aluminum
countertops are very durable and reliable: they are resistant to external
influences, easy to clean.
